Updated with Winners: The 2016 AEcademy Awards Nominees and Prize Giveaway

(Updated with Winners on 2/27/2016)

Well, they messed it up again. The film community is less than pleased and the online world is abuzz with righteous reactionary anger to last week’s announcement of the nominees for the movie world’s most prestigious and sought-after annual awards.

Luckily, that’s where we come in.  It’s time again for the SECOND ANNUAL AECADEMY AWARDS.

Below you can find this year’s list of nominees, which we believe to be a much improved collection relative to the “real deal.” We’ve diplomatically and democratically selected what we think stand as the best entrants in each category, and we want you to make the final decision. Use the polls embedded below to make your voice heard and to push your favorite performers, artists, and films ahead in the race.

But if you come here often, you know that’s not all. As always, we also want to capitalize on this celebratory spirit and extend to you a chance to win something for yourself as well. So…

The Prize

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, we will randomly select one winner who will receive his or her choice of:

a.) One Blu-Ray/DVD copy each of the Academy Award winners from the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Screenplay.

b.) One Blu-Ray/DVD copy each of the AEcademy Award winners from the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Screenplay.

Here’s how you can become that winner.

How to Win

1.) Vote for your favorites in our nominee list (poll below).

2.) Follow our site on Twitter:

3.) Use the following hashtag before 11:59 on February 26th, 2016: #AEcademyVoter.  Every tweet and/or Retweet is a chance to win.

4.) A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Saturday, February 26th. He/she will have 24 hours to claim his/her prize.
