5. Lead Masks
On August 20, 1966, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, a young man flying a kite discovered two bodies. When police reached the bodies, they found the corpses were wearing lead eye masks, formal suits, and a water proof coat. Near their bodies was discovered an empty water bottles, a pack containing wet towels, and the following instructions, translated to English:
“16:30 be at the specified location. 18:30 ingest capsules, after the effect protect metals await signal mask.”
The victims were identified as two electronic technicians from a town several miles away.
There were no immediate signs of injury and no toxic materials on the scene. Because of the decomposition of the bodies, a successful autopsy was never conducted.
To this day, the mystery has never been solved.
Filmmaking Tips: Let’s do X-Files as a period piece. Or a time travel episode.
