This morning, 20th Century Fox released the newest trailer for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant, and though we didn’t really need any help getting excited after the first trailer, this newest preview ensures that we’ll likely be talking a lot about this film for the rest of the year and into Awards season.

The first thing to jump out of this new trailer is the whispering and obsessive menace in Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance, and the context with which his character gives rabid pursuit (presumably, his old scout leaders are holding his Oscar statue captive).

Mix in Emmanuel Lubezki’s predictably breath-taking cinematography, a ten foot pile of skulls, and some dude riding a horse directly over a cliff, and you have one of the better movie trailers to come out this year.  Have a look and tell us what you think!
