Here’s everything you need to know about DC Comics news from San Diego Comic Con (2015):
DC officially announced their slate of films.
- Batman v. Superman
- Suicide Squad
- Wonder Woman
- Justice League 1 & 2
- Cyborg – 2019
- Green Lantern Corps
Batman v. Superman just dropped a new trailer online, after showing SDCC the footage first (and it mostly won this skeptical fan over).
Suicide Squad had a trailer released at the Hall H panel (we should probably expect it online sometime soon). Here’s a trailer description from HeroicHollywood.
“In the footage, we saw Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) assembling her task force of “the most dangerous people on the planet,” who WERE being kept in a hole deep in the ground — Harley Quinn, in a particular, was seen doing splits in the air, as Deadshot boxed his heart out — until the task force came to release them. Most of the footage actually centered around Quinn having a blast, licking poles, and so on and so forth… until the end, when Leto’s Joker showed up to deliver his money line: ‘I’m not gonna kill ya, I’m just gonna hurt ya really, really bad.'”
While there’s no news about casting for the Green Lantern Corps movie (which will focus on the inter-galactic police force), the film is slated for release in 2020. It’ll be coming after the first two Justice League films, and a few of the solo films listed above.
Surprisingly, there’s no news on Aquaman, Cyborg, or Justice League movies, but it’s probably for the best to hold off on those until next year’s Comic-Con.
