Here’s the first trailer for the long-gestating Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, Leatherface.

Another Texas Chainsaw Massacre entry is enough to give anyone pause. After all, the previous prequel Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) wasn’t a great followup to the surprisingly good remake, and Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)…well, it’s better if we don’t talk about it. But this latest installment, directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury (Inside) looks like a carefully crafted carnage fest. We’re sure it won’t come close to Hooper’s original, but maybe, just maybe, it could be the best Chainsaw Massacre film since 1974.

Leatherface cuts his way into theaters on October 20th, 2017
