Today, Warner Bros. released the newest trailer for Dunkirk, a World War II epic that sees the big screen return of renowned blockbuster Director Christopher Nolan.

A synopsis from IMDb describes the story of Dunkirk: Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada, and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II.

When Nolan’s last film was announced, I immediately began predicting a Best Picture win for Interstellar, only to find out I was kind of only moderately impressed by its execution. So, I told myself I wouldn’t make the same mistake in the future. But the intensity of this trailer, with its aerial dogfights and torpedo sea attacks, combined with Nolan’s undeniably influential filmography and historical Oscar exclusion make it hard not to jump into old habits. Throw in a Hans Zimmer score and a cast that includes Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and… Harry Styles, and the temptation becomes that much stronger.

So, for now, I’ll bite my tongue while you check out the trailer below.

Dunkirk will hit theaters on July 17, 2017.
