Movies I am Looking Forward to Watching:

5 Flights Up

An elderly couple, Alex (Morgan Freeman) and Ruth (Diane Keaton) undergo the process of selling and buying a flat in the neighborhoods of New York. Their experience is eye-opening as they meet a variety of individuals, surprising in their own way. Movies featuring older people are not necessarily for older people who must certainly be the target audience. Personally, I find a bit of guidance in the words spoken by women and men who have a different set of eyes of the the world. I never thought I would see Freeman as a cynical, old fart. Now, I will have the opportunity to.

Hot Pursuit

Officer Cooper (Reese Witherspoon) must protect Daniella (Sofia Vergara), the last and only witness against a drug cartel lord. The reason I want to watch Hot Pursuit is, hands down, because of Vergara… Okay. I just watched the second trailer, and it is ten times funnier than the first. Given that, I think I can enjoy this as a feel good, nonsensical movie to see how they work together. I say this because I now just watched a brief interview and Witherspoon and Vergara seem cold towards each other, but the interviewer was dry. I don’t know what to expect anymore, but it’s better if I don’t expect anything at all.

Hunting Elephants

I would like to think Hunting Elephants takes places years after the Ocean’s Thirteen gang has entered retirement, with the help of a member of the next generation. Three old men and a boy, this sounds like a joke, team up together to rob a bank. One of their “talents” is a famous individual, Lord Michael Simpson (Sir Patrick Stewart AKA Professor Xavier AKA Captain Jean-luc Picard). It’s described an Israeli Comedy/Crime movie, a genre that I cannot say I am too familiar with. Part of me has a feeling my adoration for Sir Patrick Stewart is going to change slightly after watching this movie which makes me quite hesitant.
