TRAILER OF THE WEEK
Hot take: The games Assassin’s Creed is based on are almost uniformly bland parkour simulators that devolved into Ubisoft’s version of Call of Duty. Hotter take: The only good game in the series not bogged down by expository storytelling and engaged in a fully immersive experience is Black Flag. I don’t really care for a movie adaptation of these games but since they had to, I wished they at least had forsaken the future stories. They only hold back generally interesting ideas–Is that Kanye West’s “I am a god”? Never mind. Best trailer ever.
