Here’s our first full look at the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie!

While a fifth installment may beg the question of who is asking for more of these movies, the billion plus dollars the last installment took in has assured Disney that there’s an audience. We wouldn’t be surprised if this latest entry brings in similar box office numbers, given the property’s global appeal. Personally speaking, the first three films are really strong and remain a nice reminder of the ingenuity of blockbuster films when studios reach beyond comic book properties. Dead Men Tell No Tales could be a return to form after the disappointing On Stranger Tides. Javiar Bardem’s villian, Captain Salazar has most excited about the film’s prospects. Even if the film ends up being more of the same, and Depp’s Jack Sparrow continues to test our patience, directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg seem committed to delivering a visually stunning film.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales sails into theaters on May 26th.
